Yes. It is free and there is no signup. You build the quote in your browser and download the PDF. Nothing is stored on our side and there is no watermark on the document.
Are the equipment prices set by Hey Jodie? +
No. Every price is yours to type in. The picker adds a line item with a sensible starting price, but you change it to whatever you charge. The quote is your figures from top to bottom, so it always matches your pricing.
Can I add my own line items like a permit or disposal? +
Yes. Add as many line items as the job needs - permit and inspection, removal and disposal of the old unit, new ductwork, a line set, an electrical upgrade, a thermostat, a surge protector, anything. Set the quantity and unit price on each, and the total updates with the tax line.
Does it handle GST/HST? +
The quote can show a GST/HST line so the total reads correctly to the homeowner. If you are registered, switch it on and set your rate, and the tool works out the tax and the total for you. If you are not registered, leave it off and the quote simply shows your totals with no tax line.
Can I put my company details and logo on it? +
You add your business name, contact details and quote number so the document looks like it came from you. It downloads as a clean PDF you can email or print. Drop it into your own template later if you want your full branding on it.
How long should an HVAC quote stay valid? +
Thirty days is normal for a furnace or AC install, which is the default note on the quote. It gives the homeowner time to decide while protecting you from price changes on the equipment or parts. Change the wording to whatever terms you work to.
