Call forwarding questions
What is the code for call forwarding in Canada?
It depends on the carrier and on whether it is a cell phone or a home phone. Home phones from Bell, Rogers, TELUS, Videotron, SaskTel and Shaw use *72 plus the number to forward all calls and *73 to turn it off. Rogers, Fido, TELUS, Koodo, Freedom and Public Mobile publish cell phone codes such as *21* and *61*, while Bell, Virgin Plus and Videotron mobile use the phone settings.
Is call forwarding free in Canada?
Not always. Some carriers include it, some sell it as a feature, and forwarded calls can use your airtime or be charged as long distance. Each carrier page lists what that carrier says.
Can an iPhone forward only the calls I miss?
Not from Settings. The Call Forwarding switch in iPhone Settings forwards every call, so your phone never rings. To forward only unanswered calls, dial your carrier's code from the Phone app instead.
