What counts as a missed call? +
Any inbound call you do not answer live - it rings out, hits voicemail, or comes in while you are on the tools, with a customer, or after hours. Even calls that reach voicemail count as missed for this purpose, because most callers with an urgent need will not leave a message.
Do most people really not leave a voicemail? +
For urgent, service-led calls, no. Industry figures put it at roughly 80 to 85% of callers who hang up rather than leave a voicemail when nobody answers, and a large share simply call a competitor instead. That is why an unanswered call is usually a lost job, not a delayed one.
