Logos
Four files cover almost every use. Reach for the primary lockup unless something is stopping you.
Wordmark
Type on its own. Useful in a row of partner logos where every other mark is type only.
Clear space and size
The logo needs room. Nothing else should sit inside the shaded band, and it should never get so small that the wave turns to mush.
Clear space equal to half the disc height on all four sides
- Clear space
- Leave a margin on every side equal to half the height of the disc. If you are cramped, use the icon on its own rather than tightening the margin.
- Minimum size
- The lockup stops being legible below 120px wide on screen, or 25mm in print. For the icon it is 24px, or 8mm. Below that, use the wordmark.
The rules
There are not many, and they are the ordinary ones.
Please do
- Use the colour lockup on white or a light background.
- Switch to the dark-background lockup on dark colours, photographs, or anything busy.
- Scale it proportionally, from the corner.
- Give it the clear space described above.
- Use the SVG wherever you can, so it stays sharp at any size.
Please do not
- Recolour it, including tinting it to match your own palette.
- Redraw it in a single colour. There is no all-black or all-white version.
- Stretch it, squash it, rotate it or skew it.
- Add a drop shadow, outline, glow, gradient or bevel.
- Rebuild the lockup with your own spacing, or set the name in a different typeface.
- Put the colour lockup on a dark or low-contrast background.
- Place it on a busy part of a photograph where the wave disappears.
Colour
Two blues do the work. Jodie Blue is the logo and the primary button; Accent Blue is for links and focus rings. Everything else is there to stay out of the way.

Display gradient
Indigo to blue to violet, used sparingly behind large headlines. Never behind body copy, and never inside the logo.

Writing the name
The wordmark is lowercase because it was drawn that way. The name is not. In running text, write it like this:
The default, on first reference and every one after. One word, capital J. The web address is heyjodie.com, but the name is Jodie.
The fuller form, when you need to make clear she is software. Capital A, capital I.
Jodie takes she and her, the same way we write about her.
She answers phone calls. She is not a chat widget.
The registered company name, for contracts and legal notices. Jodie is a UK company; there is no separate US entity.
